#2 is a magic mirror which is a pretty old trend. I’ve been thinking about doing one of this in an antique fireplace mantle with a built-in mirror, it needs to be resilvered anyway. My smarthome is an old Queen Anne, so it might be cool for the living room fireplace mirror to suddenly come alive showing status updates about the house. But my husband thinks it’s too much. Should I do it anyway and not tell him until it’s finished?
